Refund, Returns & Exchange Policy
At Value Cart, we are committed to providing quality products and a positive shopping experience. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we will work with you to resolve the matter fairly and efficiently.
Please read the following policy carefully before submitting a return, exchange, or refund request.
Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers are encouraged to inspect all products immediately upon delivery.
If you receive a damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect item, please notify Value Cart within 3 days of receiving your order.
To assist us in resolving the matter efficiently, customers may be asked to provide:

The order number or proof of purchase
Reporting issues promptly allows us to investigate and resolve matters as quickly as possible.
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products
If a product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or differs from the item ordered, Value Cart will investigate the matter and may offer one of the following remedies where appropriate:

Exchange for a similar product

Store credit

Full or partial refund
All claims are subject to verification and approval.
Returns
If you wish to return a product for reasons unrelated to defects, damage, or incorrect supply, you may submit a return request within 7 days of receiving your order.
To qualify for a return:
- The return request must be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
- The product must be unused and in its original condition.
- The product must be returned in its original packaging where applicable.
- All accessories, manuals, and included items must accompany the return.
- Proof of purchase must be provided.
Change-of-mind return requests will be reviewed according to the requirements above. Products must be returned in a resalable condition.
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days after the returned product has been received and inspected.
Exchanges
Where stock is available, eligible products may be exchanged for:

An alternative product of equal value

An alternative product of greater value, subject to payment of the difference
If the replacement product is of lesser value, a store credit or refund may be issued for the difference where applicable.
Refunds
Once a returned product has been received and inspected, Value Cart will notify the customer of the outcome of the request.
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method wherever possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution used. Customers should allow between 5 and 10 business days for approved refunds to reflect.
Order Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before they have been processed or dispatched.
If an order has already been processed, packed, or dispatched, cancellation may no longer be possible and the request may be treated as a return request in accordance with this policy.
Health, Beauty & Personal Care Products
For hygiene and safety reasons, certain products may not be eligible for return once opened, used, or tampered with.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Hygiene-related products
These items may only qualify for return, exchange, or refund if they are defective, damaged, expired, or supplied incorrectly.
Non-Returnable Items
The following products may not qualify for return or refund unless required by applicable law:

Return Shipping Costs
Where a return is due to a damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrectly supplied product, reasonable return shipping costs may be covered by Value Cart.
For returns requested due to a change of mind, incorrect product selection, or any customer-related reason, return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the customer.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is a result of an error on our part.
Local Stock & Fulfilment
Value Cart maintains local stock holdings and fulfils customer orders from inventory held within South Africa.
This enables us to provide reliable order fulfilment, improved product availability, and responsive after-sales support for our customers.
Consumer Protection
Value Cart operates in accordance with applicable South African consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Nothing contained in this policy is intended to limit, exclude, or replace any rights that consumers may have under applicable law.
